Halifax Macs forward Quinn Kennedy has been invited to attend the Hockey Canada National Under-17 development camp.
The camp is the beginning phase of try-outs for a spot on 1 of 3 Canadian National U17 teams that will compete in the World Under 17 Hockey Challenge in the fall. Athletes attending the camp will undergo fitness testing, off-ice training, classroom sessions, and on ice practices/intrasquad games.
Kennedy, a 2006 born forward for the Macs, put up 41 points in 33 regular season games. He added 9 points in 10 league play-off games. Kennedy is draft eligible for the QMJHL this year.
The development camp takes place July 10-16 in Calgary AB, while the Challenge takes place November 5-12 in BC.
